Integrated Behavioral Health is an important component of services embedded within the primary care teams to ensure we address all of our patient’s needs, physically, spiritually and emotionally.
Behavioral Health Consultants are trained as psychologists, licensed clinical social workers or licensed professional counselors. They work with primary care physicians and spiritual health advisors to enhance care for those patients suffering from emotional issues and chronic medical conditions. Patients are offered an opportunity to meet with a Behavioral Health Consultant for a brief assessment and targeted intervention as part of their general primary care visits when clinically necessary.
