Testimony of Grace
My name is Grace, and my life was once out of control. I was in desperate need of the transformation that only God could provide. I came to Christ Community broken and bruised—caught in the grip of addiction, living as a prostitute, and homeless. In His great wisdom, God opened the doors of Christ Community, and when I walked in, I found the answer to my prayers and the key to the changes I so desperately needed in my life.
Christ Community took a chance on me when society had already written me off. They cared for my medical, mental, and spiritual needs with compassion and patience. Through the loving hearts of the people there, my faith in humanity and in God was restored. I came to understand that love can change lives and give hope to the hopeless. I was encouraged to accept God’s love in all His wisdom, to trust in the power of His love to free me from the demons of my past, and to become a new person—both physically and spiritually.
Today, I am a Patient Advocate and Spiritual Health Advisor, working with the homeless to help them navigate their journey to recovery and self-sufficiency. Christ Community taught me how to be a witness of God’s love and how to encourage others to make positive changes in their lives.
Every day I wake up, I thank God for bringing Christ Community into my life and for showing me His incredible power.
